OBX Housing Keeps you Informed
OBX Housing has a very active Facebook page that we post to quite frequently, especially during hurricanes and storms. We post information about closings and evacuations as well as re-entry. If you have not already “liked” us on Facebook, please do to stay informed, especially during storm season on the OBX.
Help is available for our Outer Banks Tenants
Our tenants all have access through our website to their Tenant Portal. This valuable tool is available to them to report maintenance and/or storm damages as well as permitting them to publish photos of your Outer Banks rental property. This information can be shared with you, your Insurance Adjuster and also with the Outer Banks vendor(s) that you choose to repair the home.
Our owners also have access through our website to their Owner Portal. This is where we can share additional photos and information regarding the property and also invoices and financial information is available to the Outer Banks home owner quick and easily.
Hermine did more Damage than Predicted
During the recent tropical storm (Hermine) the Outer Banks experienced lots of blown off siding, missing shingles, trees down, underpinning blown out and some light fixtures ripped off by heavy winds after the eye of the storm passed. Many of us were without electricity for 1 to 3 days. The beach road in Kitty Hawk took a hit again and the state will begin rebuilding the protective dune once the tourist season passes. All in all, we faired pretty well considering Hermaine took many of us by surprise.
