OBX Housing is very active on our Facebook page that we post to quite frequently, especially during hurricanes and storms. OBX Housing posts information about closings and evacuations as well as re-entry information if we have a mandatory evacuation. If you have not already “liked” us on Facebook, please do to stay informed, especially during storm season on the Outer Banks.
All OBX Housing Tenants have access through our website to their Tenant Portal. The portal is a valuable tool and is available to all OBX Housing Tenants to use to report maintenance and/or storm damages as well as permitting them to publish photos of your Outer Banks rental property so that we can share them with the Vendors, Insurance Adjustors and also the Landlord/Owner.
OBX Housing Owners/Landlords also have access through our website to their Owner Portal. This is where we can share additional photos and information regarding your Outer Banks Long Term Rental property and as well as provide copies of invoices and financial
information quickly and easily.
Outer Banks Rental homes often experience a lot of blown off siding, missing shingles, trees down, underpinning blown out and sometimes light fixtures ripped off by heavy winds during tropical storms and/or Hurricanes. Often we have been without electricity-last year during Hermine and Matthew some of us were without power for 1 to 3 days. Many times our roads flood either from excessive rains or high winds that blow in the Sound waters or Ocean over wash. Here are a few other websites to monitor during storms to keep you posted on what’s happening on the Outer Banks during storm season: The Outer Banks Voice or the Dare County Website
