Outer Banks Housing: CAROLINA PANTHERS ORGANIZATION IS COMING TO KITTY HAWK!
The Town of Kitty Hawk has been selected by the Carolina Panthers for a community service project! As part of the Carolina Panthers 25th Anniversary celebration, the team will recognize May 1st as Keep Pounding Day*, which will be an organizational day of community service. The team will execute 25 service projects on May 1st in communities across North and South Carolina. The Town of Kitty Hawk has been selected to be part of this day (May 1st) and staff members from the Carolina Panthers Organization as well as volunteers from the Town of Kitty Hawk and Better Beaches OBX will be on hand to plant sea oats purchased by the Carolina Panther Organization.
*Keep Pounding has become a team mantra in honor of late Carolina Panthers player and coach Sam Mills. Mills first used the phrase “Keep Pounding” as a coach in an emotional speech to the team prior to the Panthers‘ playoff game versus the Dallas Cowboys on Jan. 2, 2004.
